So this day was one for the books. Austin fell off his changing table - I turned for one second and he was gone. Luckily for me Rob was sitting on the ground and Austin landed on his leg. I think Rob got hurt worse then Austin. So Rob was screaming, Austin was screaming, i was crying and it was a disaster. So we managed to get past that. Then only 4 hrs later right when we got home from school I hear Rob screaming. I didn't think he was hurt, I thought he was faking it. Now, if you know my kid you know he screams a lot and is really dramatic. So as I make my way to his room I see this:

what a great feeling to see your little guys blood everywhere. He hit his head on the window while jumping on the bed. It was a total- I told you so moment about why we don't jump on the bed. Don't worry, no stitches needed. We went to the clinic and he was fine. Just lots of blood.

So guess what I busted him doing not 10 minutes after we got home???

7 Years of wedded bliss!

Can you believe it? I can, even though the time has flown by. I cant imagine being married to anyone else or loving anyone more then I do Rob! So time flies.

Austin is FINALLY WALKING at 15 months- silly, chubby baby!

Little Rob started T-ball and I think I love it more then he does:) I love to help him and tell him what to do- I miss softball so much. So we got him a T, a bag of balls and some new gear to practice- So fun!

We are doing great here in VA even though we are getting ready to move AGAIN- seriously. We will be taking off from here July 15 to Kansas. Closer to home so that is good- but in the middle of nowhere. We will miss the ocean and location, but are ready to move forward.

Mothers say was perfect- I got french toast and eggs for breakfast and spoiled by my 3 boys. We went the the beach and hung out for a few hours ans just had a great day!

April- Update

Auntie Val and Shannon came to visit! we had a great time showing them around here and up in DC- that is a huge place full of history and just amazing monuments and museums. It was a so good to go see and show them.

We went the Busch Gardens. We get to go fro free because Rob is military so that was nice. Little Rob rode the Big bad wolf and was so proud- yet he was scared of the 3 -d Elmo show- go figure. Easter was fun, Always high adventure when dying eggs. The boys looked so cute in their Easter outfits- other then that here are the updates:

Austin- STILL crawling, getting up and walking around furniture-
Rob- still playing soccer- loving school and has a new best friend Jack
Big Rob- Oh- he exists? Gone all the time

WOW!!
SO I cant believe how fast a year has gone in our lives. A year ago, we were in Alabama planing to be there for another year. Life changed dramatically for us when Austin was born because Little Rob was no longer the baby- his life has changed a ton too. Most of the time he loves his brother, but there are the rare moments I hear the door slam and Austin cry because he has been pushed out of Rob's rrom for touching his stuff.

here are some of the things Austin is doing at one

- teething like a maniac, he has around 7 teeth right now and it seems like the rest are trying to come all at once. The drool that baby produces makes me think he is dehydrated because more then not I find him laying on the floor in a puddle of drool.
- claping and saying Yeah! (so darn cute)
- standing up all by himself from the floor- so nothing to help him
- still Loves his blanket, binki and bottle
- eats everything I am eating and more
- loves to be outside and eat all the dirt and sand he can get
- crawls around crying looking for me!!

So Austin is a sniffer- he loves to put his blanket up to his nose and smell it. He has been known to smell other fuzzy and soft things too... but up until now, it all seemed cute. this is HILARIOUS and mean to post but my Little guy just wanted to smell the carrots. later that night he was doing the same thing with a pretzel. I think it is because he wanted to put it in his mouth but couldn't because of his Binky! So funny!

YES- we went to Utah again! This time it was for a good reason! Rob's little Bro Travis got married. Me and the kids went home early to spend a week with family and friends and then Rob came for the week of the wedding! We had a great time and got to see lots of people. Can you believe it? I have a 5 year old son- and next year I am going to be sending him off to kindergarten- I can't believe how fast time has gone. We look at Rob and get sad because he is not that sweet innocent Boy anymore- he is smart, brave and so energetic (to put it mildly) We love this little guy and look forward to this next year!

How great it is to have family! We were lucky enough to have my parents and little brother over the holidays and it was so fun. We explored VA and took a trip to Washington DC. We were able to see lots of museums and monuments. Good thing Rob knows a lot about it all because he was a great tour guide!

Ok well it isnt too far into the month so we are going to try to do better with updating-- Here are a few pics of what we have been doing- We saw Santa, that was fun. Austin didnt even cry he just stared at him and tried to pull his beard. Then we waited for Rob to get home from a week trip to get our tree. The boys did a great job decorating. We went on a very fun hay ride to the pumpkins. Little Rob was so funny in picking his favorites. The crop had some sort of virus and it mis- shaped some of the pumpkins. Of course he choose all the ones that looked really sad and bumpy. I guess it means he likes things no matter what- it was cute. Addison and Austin really liked the ride and the straw. Austin could have sat there all day just eating straw. We had fun.

So my friend Brooke and her family are here for her husband to go to school for 2 months before they move to England for 3 years. She lives 3 miles away and I get to see her almost everyday- it is so nice to have her here and to have the time to spend together. Her daughter Addison is Austins girlfriend already and we love it. She is a few weeks older so Austin likes that:) We went to VA beach and walked up and down the boardwalk -- fun times

So a total proud mom moment for me. We bring Rob to school and he is so excited. His dad actually had the day off so he got to come on the big day. We get to the school and before I can even give him a hug he runs into his class and starts playing with the kids and toys. He was SO excited to be there and to have friends again. he had been begging me all summer to go to school. The teacher seems to love him and I think he actually behaves for her so I am really excited for this school year!

We took went to visit Sheri Kay and Darren in NYC for a few days. it was really fun and we walked to see everything. We took the subway a lot and Rob loved it. he just stared out the window and watched everything. Austin just sat there like the angel baby he is. So thanks to Mammy perry I was able to take a half vacation to visit Melinda in Vegas. I say half vacation because I left little Rob and took Austin. So I had a half of my babies with me:) I was so excited to see her house and her life she has there. Other then the heat I think I could totally live there like she does. There is everything to do and lots of shops-- its funny we went to the Bilagio for an hr to look at the flowers and then drove 15 minute back home. I guess when I think Vegas I think the strip but it is a totally different place where they live. Zach is 3 weeks youger and a good 5 pounds heavier then Austin. They just laid next to eachother and sang songs and played. It was a great trip.

So as always, my ever helpful Dad came to my rescue. Our household goods arrived last Monday and Rob was in DC at a week long school. Who can imagine me and 2 boys doing that all by myself? Not so easy. After all the hard work was done we went to downtown Norfolk and took a Naval cruise around the ports. It is so amazing to see how massive all the ships and things are. I took some pics-- we also went to Williamsburg. It was really fun - very hot though. We ate a little restaurant that served a desert called 'death by chocolate' it was literally to die for- it is a famous desert. We had fun exploring our area.

Quick Update!

To all of you have been calling and emailing I am sorry I have missed you. I am sitting here on my knees in the middle of our office writing this. Lets just say I have a long ways to go before we are settled! We are here safe and sound-- love the area and the house. The hard thing is trying to fit things in the house that fit in AL-- not very fun. It is like a puzzle that is missing pieces and has extra pieces that don't belong:) Rob is in DC doing a week course so he is lucky enough to miss this unpacking garbage:) My dad is here - thank goodness- and he has been a great help- I don't think I would have been able to do it all alone with my 2 boys.

I will take pics of our house and of Ft. Monroe. It is beautiful here and I think we will love it! Our house is SO OLD but that makes is fun..... More to come, Austin is crying for me.

We just wanted to say goodbye to all of our new friends in AL. We have had such a great year here and have met so many great people. It has felt like a little peice of Utah for us because so many of the pilots are from UT! It has been fun to go into their houses and see all the things that remind me of Utah (like signs and vinyl and crafty things) We will really miss the laid back life we have been able to enjoy here and all the time Rob has had to spend with us. It has been a great year and we wanted to let you all know we will miss you and to keep in touch- maybe we will see eachother again down the road!

This weekend we were able to take a trek to Buford, GA for one last visit with The Pettengils our close family friends. Rob has known them since college. We also considered it a test run for our 800 plus mile drive to VA this weekend. We had a great time with them and Austin did ok-- he loves that binki and loves even more to spit it out! Then on our way home we stopped for Asher's birthday party. I was so happy to get to see Valorie and her family one last time too- she is such a great friend and I am going to miss living only 2 hrs away from her- We love that family!

11 Weeks old

Austin is now 11 weeks old. He slept through the night for the first time last night. I guess it wasnt a solid sleep but he didnt need to be fed. I just had to give him his binki like 10 times. I think I didnt sleep well because I was listening to him to make sure he wasnt starving! He went from 8 pm to 6:30 this morning with no food! that is the longest for him so we are very proud!

Isn't this the cutest? I love how Austin looks when he sleeps. For some reason to me he looks fatter and older. He always moves his hands around his face and tries to suck his thumb or any other finger he can get. He has yet to figure it out though. Some times I wish he would figure it out so at 2 am he can sooth himself. I only think that at night when I am super tired though. I am thankful he loves the Binky and cant wait until he figures out how to keep it in at night:) He is a good baby!

6 Wonderful years!!

Well I can hardly believe it has been 6 years. What a crazy life we have had so far:) Rob and I figured that for the first 5 years of our marriage he was gone for at least 3 of them with his training and 2 tours in Iraq. We survived the deployments and have had such a great year here in AL together- plus we are blessed with 2 beautiful boys that bring so much to our lives. We are so lucky to have such a great family and look forward to many more years together.

Ft. Monroe VA here we come!

So I am sure you are all wondering what I mean by that, well we are moving to Ft. Monroe Virginia. the crazy part is, we have to be there in a month. Rob was hand picked by a 3 star General to be his aide which is so great for him but really caught us off guard. I am very excited for a new adventure but a little nervous to do it all in a month and with a 2 month old( not to mention my hyperactive 4 year old)!!! It is located right on the coast, it is actually its own little island. So I am glad we will be on the beach even though it wont be as warm as here. The best part is my friend Brooke from TX will be there for 3 months before they move to England so I will get to spend some time with her and her new baby!

I will post more details as we get them!

Wow were does time go? Austin is 8 weeks old and getting so cute and chubby. We are all doing great and love this little guy so much- nights are getting a little easier and he is sleeping for longer so that helps me to get a little more sleep. We are still getting up a lot to put the Binky back in his mouth but at least he is easily soothed:)

I just wanted to put a little note on here to tell you how amazing my boys are. Little Rob is so smart and energetic. Austin is just an angel. Big Rob is such a blessing to me. I cant even thank him enough for all the love and support he gives to me and our family. I am sure he is so sick of hearing about how tired I am or how much I want to fit back into my regular jeans. He just tells me I look beautiful and to relax. He has had so much patience with me and the emotions that come with having a newborn. I am the luckiest person in the world to have my little family and look forward to watching us grow! Love you Rob!

I AM ALIVE- Barely

If any of you were wondering where I have been -- lets see. Austin is 7 weeks old today and this is the 3rd day at my house with NO COMPANY!! For the first 6 weeks of his life we have had family after family here to help and see the new baby! Let me tell you I am torn now because I LOVED the help but also love that my boys are in their own rooms and we are actually starting to get in a grove. I did, however, take for granted the help I had. Rob has SOOO much energy and needs so much attention that I am exhausted just watching him. He is on a 2 week spring break and so he is EXTRA bored and wants me to watch him do everything. When family was here at least there was someone who could do that all the time. So I think he is having a hard time and he loves to need something the second I sit down with Austin to feed him or am making dinner. I am sure it will get better. Austin is starting to get into a better night time pattern so that is good- I am still waiting to not feel exhausted all the time and dream about the night I get more then 3 hrs of sleep in a row- i am sure that is coming:) Big Rob is in full swing at school so he too is exhausted and stretched for time. Thank goodness we live here and there is some extra time for him to do his work and to get his masters done! Hopefully in the next few weeks we will get more settled and then I can update more often--

Auntie Val Comes to BamaBama

So Val had never been to Florida before and was going to drive all alone to the beach. Being the WONDERFUL sister I am, I decided to pack up the boys (Austin was 6 weeks old) and take her to Destin, FL. WOW- lets just say if you pack for one day you can stay a week. After all the stress of packing a newborn to go the beach we were off. I am SO very lucky that Austin is a good baby because when we got to the beach he slept all 3 hrs we were there. We looked like freaks carrying a HUGE stroller across the beach and then tried to put up a shade tent in 100 mph winds (we gave up after a few tries) but we had a great time. We got sun and played in the water and that is what we wanted to do. We survived the beach. We had a blast with Val and are so happy she got to come visit!

My mom came right after my dad and that was so great. Little Rob didnt go too long with out being spoiled and loved to death and that was a huge help. We hung out, made signs and just got to relax. It is so nice to have my mom around to help but heartbreaking to see her go. So for the next few days it is me and my boys (scary, I know) But I am not to worried because in a few days Rob's parents get here and it will be a fresh new round of attention for Little Rob and help for me! We are very lucky to have such a great family that comes to us to help. We went the the lake in ozark for a walk and these are some pictures.

Two Weeks Old!

Austin turned 2 weeks old today! All is well and the Dr said he is the picture of health! He now weighs 8 lbs 2 oz and is 20 1/2 inches long. Nana (my mom) got here last night and just loves him of course. We are excited to spend time with her and love to have her visit! Rob loves it because he is still being showered in attention and love that only grandparents can give. He is easily pleased with someone who will watch cartoons with him and let him lay with them. So needless to say, it is so great for me while I am with Austin to have help! Where would we be without parents?

I love when he sleeps and pulls these crazy faces. The fat face is my favorite because I think he looks like an old man. He likes to curl up and always ends up sideways and slips to the bottom of whatever he is sleeping in. The cow in the picture was placed there by big brother who likes to stuff it in his face. he thinks that Austin likes it there-- I usually have to move it off his face when Rob isnt looking.

How fun it is here at the Perry house! My 3 boys are the cutest in the world- I guess I am slightly biased because they are mine:) Austin fits so perfectly in out family and he is very loved. We are very blessed that he is a good baby and only cries when he wants to eat or be changed!! Both Robs love to kiss his head and hold him--

Our Papa came to visit and was just what Rob needed. He got all the attention and love in the world. He taught papa how to bowl and golf (or so he claims) It was so great to have my dad here to help. We miss him already but have Nana here to take his place:) more pics of her to come!

Welcome Baby Austin

We would like to introduce ou newest arrival! Austin John Perry born Feb 26 at 7:50 pm. He weighed 7 lbs 14 oz and was 19.5 inches long. He is a wonderful baby and we love having him in our family! The most excited is his big brother and 'BOSS' Little Rob. He loves to hold him and kiss him all the time!

Jen made me this adorable diaper cake! It was her first and I have to say I loved it! What a great idea!

Well most of you have been asking for pictures of my big belly, and it is with great hesitation that I post these. I am not the biggest fan of being huge and pregnant and for some reason the camera cant be less flattering then when you are 29 days away from having a baby. he is almost 7 pounds already and is getting bigger by the day!! We are healthy though, so that is the most important part!

We had a fun time at my shower. Jen and Kim did a great job and all the girls that brought something to help were so nice! I am lucky to have such caring friends!

Rob is finally old enough to play on a soccer team so we signed him up!! We went to his first evaluation and he did great- he can kick the ball pretty far and seems to have the basic concepts of kicking into the goal! We got him some new soccer gear and are excited to watch him play! He is going to be just like his dad!

We FINALLY had Rob's birthday party and it was a hit. We did it at the Equestrian park clubhouse. The kids got to run around like manicas and then we got Tony the pony for an hour for them to ride. They had a great time.

How cute is she? We love that we live so close to family and an have them come to our parties and see them on holidays! It makes it so much easier to have them around! Ginelle had a great time at the party!

Rob's parent teacher conference

Every few months Rob's school has a little event where we go and see what the kids are learning! it is really cute because this is one time rob is aloud to yell what he is saying and I think he likes that! He is learning a lot at his school and he does very well. The only thing about sending him to a southern school is- all the yes mam no mam stuff. It is cute and polite until he tells me I need to say YES SIR not yep to him. If you know my son, you know how many questions he asks and lets just say i had to tell him I am the mom and dont have to say Yes sir every time I answer him!

We can no longer call out son 'Little Rob' when he woke up this morning a 4 year old he informed me he is no longer little. He answers to BIG Rob now. So back to the dilema of what to call the actual Big Rob (his dad)!! Oh what fun! He was very excited for this day and was very cute. We brought cupcakes to school, took him the Chuck E cheese and opened presents. He had a great day!

Little Rob was a little hesitant to go up to Santa on his own. As all the elves were pushing me toward the big guy, his dad cam to the rescue and sat next to him. Little Rob had his letter all ready to give to him with his list as long as you can imagine! The top of his list was, of course, every transformer there is and then a few other boy things. It was a cute letter and Santa is going to do his best to deliver!
